One of my favorite bands have come together again after a 15 years break, to make havoc in the music genre. In my opinion, they have created one of the best albums of the 90′ies, and have now remastered it as a ‘hey! here-we-are-again!’ as their comeback is sceduled to this friday (19th of march, 2010) here in Oslo. To bad I dont have a ticket… (it was sold out before I could turn my brain around and buy one…*sob*)
Never heard of the band you might say? Well, its never to late to experience fantastic music (if you like the genre), and you can hear 120kbs versions of the old album at their reborn site: BoxReborn.com
The album got excellent reviews when it was released, and if the band had stayed together (they parted in 1997) they would have been mentioned in the same ‘breath of air’ as band like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam an other rock/grunge band from that area of time.

Leser med store øyne artikkelen i dagens VG Online. Nå må de da for pokker kutte ut å herse med oss røykere. (ja jeg røyker, og har ingen planer om å slutte med det første). Det er greit nok at man blir dyttet ut på gata fra restauranter og barer, da man har forståelse for at det ikke er digg å sitte og spise i tung sigarettrøyk, men når det nå går direkte på hver enkelt røyker, og skal leke ‘storebror’ og forby all nikotinholdige varer (ja, blir jo også forbud snus, skrå, olivertwist etc), om denne Krokstad, leder ved HUNT forskningssenter, det medisinske fakultet ved NTNU, får det som han vil. Utvid heller tilbudet til de av oss som vil slutte enn å gå inn og prøve å styre livene våre. Vi bor da i ett fritt land, der man kan gjøre hva man vil så lenge man ikke bryter norsk lov. Å gjøre en halv million nordmenn til kriminelle fordi de røyker, er å dra steget meeeget langt. Synes synd på politiet som da må håndheve ett sånt forbud…
Jeg synes det norske samfunn begynner å lukte mistenkelig som en ny-versjon av boka ’1984′ skrevet av George Orwell. Har du ikke lest denne, er det på høy tid. Skremmende saker.
Komediegruppen KLM (Kirkvaag/Lystad/Mjøen) laget for en del år siden en festlig parodi på dette med å forfølge røykere.
Den var festlig da. Nå er den ikke så festlig lenger….
Det er ganske mye dritt å fikse i det norske samfunn uten at man trenger å slå ned på oss som, joda det er helseskadelig, men nyter en lovlig kjøpt vare fra som oftest en norsk forhandler. (er også en del svenske forhandlere som er glade i norske tobakkspriser…)
Det at man nå skal ‘skjule’ røyken i disken er jo også noe man drar på smilebåndet av. Hva f** er vitsen med det? Tror man at man har glemt hva de forskjellige siggmerkene heter? *rister oppgitt på hodet*
Jaja, lenge leve KLM, noe annet er det ikke mye å rope hurra for i disse ‘kill-the-smokers’ dager.
A couple of nights ago I was attending the release concert of the new album “Harbouring Hate” from Forgery. The warm-up was Imbalance, a cool trashmetal band that I have previously written about here on this blog (check ‘music’ on the top of the page), and they made a good show and set the temperature for the main event.
Forgery played all the new songs from the new album, and they, in lack of a better expression, ‘kicked ass’ on stage I have heard them several times before, and they are the lead example of tight and ‘in your face’ thrash metal. The audience was headbanging and ‘dancing’ around even though it was an ordinary thursday evening. It was in all a great show, even when things started falling down from the ceiling during the concert
